Sons just paid £1200 for a fix to a similar fault on his Mini! Fingers crossed eh?
Thanks for the help.

Fault codes P0300 and P0302 Intermittent misfire on cylinder
2010 1.4 TSi DSG Quick question to see if anyone has suffered these fault codes and associated symptoms. I have not lost power but do feel a 'wobble' when idling or cruising at a steady speed. It has always run smoothly for the 3 years I've had it. The fault codes websites suggest a few things like ...

Re: Dashcam wiring into the fuse box?
I guides my wiring across the roof lining and down the door seal without issue. Then tapped into the wiring in the drivers door fuse box. Easy and looks very neat. Nothing visible.

Re: Strange feel after full brake pads change.
Thanks for that. I've done about 200 mile now and it seems to have cured itself. Must have just been bedding in as you said. I've changed pads on several cars and they've never felt like that before. Weird! Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Re: Strange feel after full brake pads change.
Makes sense. Fronts had wear indicator wiring which I know I replaced but I'll check to make sure it's seated properly. Just wondered if there was some special trick I missed. Will whip wheels off again tomorrow and see.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Strange feel after full brake pads change.
Advice needed please. I have just changed all 4 brake pads and have a strange feel under braking. Feels similar to ABS activating. Done this job on a few cars and never had this. Just wondered if they need bleeding again or they just need bedding in. Anyone have a similar experience to share? Much a...

Loss of power and strange 'cough'
2010 Scirocco 1.4 TSi DSG A couple of days ago I was sat in traffic and hardly moved for about 10 minutes. I don't usually sit that long but I was coming of night duty and a little tired. Every now and then I felt a subtle vibration or shaking sensation. When the road cleared I put my foot down but ...

Re: Smell of petrol
You could see it that way.........but it's still the cheapest prices I've found. Take MOTs. I've never paid over £25, it's done while I wait in a nice clean, comfortable lounge drinking cappuccino.

Re: Daytime Running Lights
Thanks Billy but I think yours has the upgraded computer menu being a 2.0, the 1.4 has the lower one with less options. I will look into this stalk method though thanks.

Re: Smell of petrol
Update for anyone with similar issue. Dropped car into garage today as I have a good relationship with them and they have a lift! Looking from under the car it was obviously the fuel filter at fault. Ordered new one, delivered and fitted within an hour while I sat, drank free coffee and used the fre...

Smell of petrol
1.4 TSi DSG. For a while now I've noticed a smell of petrol outside the car. Before I start poking around, is there a common problem that could narrow down my time and save drinking time. Thanks in advance!

Daytime Running Lights
Hi all. I have searched and searched a day while there is a lot of DRL discussions I cannot find the answer to my confusion. I have a 2010 1.4 TSi. The only thing that irritates me are the headlights. I like to leave the dial in 'auto' mode but with the DRLs, that setting is no more than 'on'. Off i...

Re: Tyre pressure warning light.
Have you changed a tyre or messed with the pressures? Did you reset the pressure sensor switch after doing it?

ALL Warning Lights coming on
This has been happening for a while on and off but on a 5 mile drive it just happened 4 times. Without any warning or other symptoms ALL of the warning lights come on briefly for a few seconds. They go off leaving the amber 'power steering' light (steering wheel). That goes out after about 39 second...
