Fault codes P0300 and P0302 Intermittent misfire on cylinder

Post by TimsRocco »

2010 1.4 TSi DSG
Quick question to see if anyone has suffered these fault codes and associated symptoms. I have not lost power but do feel a 'wobble' when idling or cruising at a steady speed. It has always run smoothly for the 3 years I've had it. The fault codes websites suggest a few things like plugs or shorting ignition coil. Anyone have and cured a fault like this?
As always, thanks in advance.

Hopefully it's a coilpack or a plug. Coilpack is the most common failure to cause a misfire.

Worth getting a compression test done though as this era of 1.4 TSI twincharger is known for cracked pistons.

Sons just paid £1200 for a fix to a similar fault on his Mini! Fingers crossed eh?
Thanks for the help.
