How does the average MPG get worked out on the mfd display ?,
Is it per trip ,or over a peiod of time?
Can it be reset to zero to start again?

I'm pretty sure it's the average for that trip. You also have a little 1 and 2 in the top corner for current and 'lifetime' values. You can zero it by holding the OK button.

Memory 1 - is the trip average MPG and resets after the ignition has been switched off circa 2 hours. All parameters displayed with a "1" on the top right corner are also reset.

Memory 2 - is the cumulative average mpg over time and resets after 99h 59m of driving time or if manually reset by pressing and holding the "ok" button for circa 2 secs. The total distance, total driving time are also reset. Basically, Amy of the parameters that are displayed with a "2" on the top right corner.

The instantaneous MPG can also be displayed on the MFD and when it's being displayed there is no "1" or "2" on the too right corner and no average sign in front of the value (0 to 200mpg)
