Hi guys still looking for answers am i right in thinkinh the turbo actuator relies on turbo pressureto open wastegate is so if i put a t in actuator line could this be used for turbo gauge ( on a tdi scirocco )

Re: Turbo gauge fitting
I would have thought these days it would be easier to read the value from the existing sensor off the CanBus.

Re: Turbo gauge fitting
You can display it within the DIS along with other parameters if you buy something like Polar FIS.
You could have a look at the set up in a facelift model to see where they have taken it from as it has a boost gauge as standard.

Re: Turbo gauge fitting
Only way to do it in a tdi
Fit egr delete and use the take off there.
Tap into a boost circuit using a self sealing takeoff from merlin motorsport
Use polar fis.
The actuators are vacuum operated and electronically controlled.

Thanks xjay yes so does actuator not rely on boost pressure ?

Re: Turbo gauge fitting
Its irrelevant to the fitting of your boost gauge.
Ive answeree your question. The lines going to the actuator are vacuum lines. I said you need to tap into any BOOST CARRYING line.

Not sure it's even the right one :/
A picture or video will be great if someone could show me? Please

I said where in a post above.
Any BOOST carrying pipe.
If you can't figure out what pipe(s) carry boost then take it to a garage.
