RNS 510 lost coding

Morning All,

Not sure if anyone can help with VAGCOM and my RNS510 issue. Car is a 2009 58 Reg.

Sound stopped working on the unit following what I suspect to have been a drop in voltage. Went in to the stealers and they fcukd it up got a black screen and could not code, they say it is not the original unit (which may be the case). Following a diagnostics test using my Delphi I managed to do a speaker test on all speakers and they are working fine however still no sound.

I plugged into vagcom and went into 37-Navigation, 7-coding and adjusted all codes to what I deemed correct (no sound system installed was one of the options selected). See below code list:-



I also went into the can bus module and installation, navigation and radio were not selected so I selected these options and saved (I have done a reset ever time I have made an alteration also). I cleared the fault codes from the radio section and they have stayed cleared but still no sound from the stereo.

I am convinced this is something simple on VAGCOM like a code or an un-ticked box but I am no Wiz on this. See below autoscan information relevant to the stereo.

If anyone could tell me what I have missed it would be much appreciated.

Clera errors 1st and then do Outpout Test for Speakers
For me - gateway (19) is too old to work with RNS 510
The earliest compatibile is Q ...you have S
No matter if radio is made by Delphi or Bosh / Blaupunkt
If was design for VW - will work , but must cooperate with other modules over CAN Gateway

Also every time you do CODING changes in RNS , make sure you do proper RESET , exit from VCDS will not apply changes

If the radio was working then the correct code must have been input at some time (even if it not the original radio) and will not be lost even when the battery is removed unless as you say the stealers have managed to 'lose it' while messing with the coding. In which case it is their problem to sort out.
