The car seems to have developed an issue with the "up" paddle when in D and using the paddles sometimes the gearbox doesn't want to change up it will change down absolutely fine and then it will start working again using the +/- on the gearstick itself also works without a problem has anybody come across the same problem could it just be a loose wire or something more sinister ??

Re: occasional flappy paddle problem
I would guess it will be some kind of electrical contact issue, the fact that it works fine using the gear lever itself rules out a problem with the box itself. Is the problem prevalent across the range, or is it worse in lower/higher gears? It may not always work on the up shift though. Depending on engine revs/road speed etc. you may not be able to upshift if the software does not deem it appropriate. ie. trying to go into too high gear too slowly.RickGT wrote:Good evening guys and gals

If you reckon it is a fault, I would suggest mentioning it to the dealer, but does sound like a electrical issue.

Thanks for the replies guys
It does seem a hit and miss problem it's not done it all day if it continues it I'll pop it down to the local stealer see what they come up with
