That explains why the 235/35 by 19 P Zeros that I paid £151.60 at Camskill for a few weeks ago are now £219.40 :-)

Re: EVO magazine 2012 tyre test
Interesting. Was the test based solely on performance or was there any comment on how long the tyres last, as according to a multitude of roc owners on this forum if you get 10k out of a set of P Zero fronts you're doing well which means that if I had P Zeros rather than Bridgestone Potenzas from which I get 20k, I'd be buying a set of fronts every 6 months and consequently spending a lot more so I'd have to ask whether their performance really that much better for the average owner?

Re: EVO magazine 2012 tyre test
I'm still on my original front P Zeros after 31k miles. Still a few thousand left in them. That's the longest I've ever managed out of a set of front tyres. Normally I get around 20k miles. I'm currently doing around 2.5k miles a month, mainly motorway driving.voyager wrote:Interesting. Re: EVO magazine 2012 tyre test
I managed just 12k on my P Zeros on the front, the rears on the other hand are like new. Now I've got the excellent Eagles on the front and I've reduced the recommended inflation to 33psi which does seem to helping with uneven wear. 8k on the Eagles and overall just under 6mm left. I prefer the Eagles they are much more sure footed in the wet and are very quiet on the motorway.
I had P Zeros on my Civic VTi and they only lasted 7k..................but worth it. I'm older now.

I used F1 Eagle A1s and A2s on my R32 and they were brilliant.

They test wet and dry handling, cornering braking, noise etc.voyager wrote:Interesting. My conti sport 3's are just about shot after only 11k miles on the front. I might look at the Pirelli's this time.

Re: EVO magazine 2012 tyre test
I had P zeros on my last car and they are great but because of their softer compound they did wear fast.
My eagle F1`s on the Roc now are brilliant vs the dunlop maxx which were on it

I'm running dunlops at the moment and i'm about to change the fronts as theys've done 28000 miles and the rears 49,000 miles
If you see S9 CTC driving around give us a wave I do 40,000 miles a year it gets lonely out there

Re: EVO magazine 2012 tyre test
Same with me. Got 21k on the clock and had to change one of the original P Zeros on the front for my MOT. Not cause it was worn - still had several thousand miles on the tread - but because it had a bulge from hitting a pot hole which would failed MOT on.Cuprabob wrote: I'm still on my original front P Zeros after 31k miles. P Zeros have given me great performance in wet and dry and have lasted longer than mist other tyres I've had. A bit pricey but worth it
