Scirocco Central

Hi everyone, I was under the impression that my 2011 Scirocco 2.0 TSI 210ps has a cam chain but I've just had a call from the VW dealer saying that it's nearly time to have the cam belt changed, does anyone know which it is and if not is it easy to check which it has?

Rising blue is the only way to go...

I also noticed that the bonnet holder doesn't stay in place when it's down.

I'm thinking one of these things could be responsible for my weird rattling.

I noticed this piece of trim doesn't fit very well on my car and it's clearly been glued into place in the past so I'm just wondering if anyone knows what it's for and if it would cost much to sort out the fact that it doesn't fit?

I was thinking of getting this one to replace my damaged spare key, as it's only the buttons on mine that are damaged and it saves you having to get the key cut or the transponder reprogrammed as you use the main part of your current key and then the new buttons. No experience of the 1.4 but my 2.0 TSI is a lovely car even if it is a bit rattly. Does anyone know if it's possible to rename the "mobile box" preset on the VW Bluetooth? There's only 6 presets and having one wasted on voicemail is quite annoying.

danielabbott89 has just reminded me, I wanted one with Bluetooth as well but as it was hard to find I eventually got it without and have a fella coming to my work tomorrow to fit it, that's costing about £350 so factor that in if you want it and the perfect car doesn't have it.

Hi guys, I seem to have both the wastegate rattle and the dash rattle on my 2011 Scirocco, can these be fixed under the warranty that came with the car or will I have to pay for these to be fixed?

If it's not covered what's the rough cost to get them done or can I do them myself?

Managed to pick it off with fingernails and then gave it a good wash, don't seem to be able to see where it had been so that's a result, just need to get the one out of the back window now.
