remove dealer decals

Post by Ajlcomputers »

Hi everyone, picked up the Scirocco at the weekend and finally stopped driving it long enough to notice the hideously girly "Vindis" decal on the back next to the Scirocco badge.

I'm not sure if they've added that since I purchased it or if it was put on originally when they sold the car to the previous owner. Anyone know if I can get it off without damaging the paint? Also, if it was put on originally and has been there for over 3 years is there likely to be a difference in paint colour once it's been removed?

It shouldn't damage the paint, try warming the sticker up with s hair dryer it might make it easier to remove. then just polish the area where the sticker has been.

Ours just picked off with a fingernail - Reflex silver too (16 months old when purchased but not sure when it was put on) but you couldn't see where it had been afterwards. Agree a bit of (gentle!) hairdryer heat might help too....

Managed to pick it off with fingernails and then gave it a good wash, don't seem to be able to see where it had been so that's a result, just need to get the one out of the back window now.

Cheers fellas
