sorry for bringing up this old thread. I am tryin to replace a gateway, which requires removal of the scutter panel. I was trying to pull up however i ruined the clip lock. Any idea how I should remove this scutter panel. I have driver side removed, but not the passenger side

I think you will need foam support, bumper bracket, and plastic wheel liner for front bumper

I let the thermostat opened to make sure old coolant got drained. Coolant is still faded pink. No sign of rust. By the way, I did leak test once and everything is fine.

personally, i think the clear coat is peeling. The only solution, if it's inside, is to remove the lens out and buff with polisher and reseal the headlight.

Currently I have whining noise. I believe this is from oil cooler ( HEL kit). What I am curious is whining noise disappear despite rpm being at constant 2000 rpm. Anyone knows why?

Recently I purchased a kit from Kufatec. According to instruction, I am told to swap pin A7 <> A10 and A8 <> C50 at CECM. A7 <> A10 went well but I have trouble fitting A8 into C50 slot as the splice that used to go to A8 is a larger than C50 slot. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Engine didn't need to be started. At on position, if the climate control is switched on, there will be whining sound for 2-3 seconds. Like I said, using 2010 style climatronic panel, the problem went away

Recently i installed 2013 style climatronic. Did all the basic setting and no fault showed on the vcds. However i noticed that there is whining noise when i turn on a/c and off a/c. When i switch back to 2010 style climatronic, there is no whining noise. Anyone knows why?

I would take facelift Scirocco 2.0 TSI because with stage 1, you can go up to 300hp. With turbo change, IS38 bolt-on, it will be close to 400hp. Carbon built up issue is resolved in 3rd Gen EA888 The R engine isnt that capable or? It's the EA133 or whatever its called? ea113 is capable of doing 400...
