Fuel pump 2.0 tsi
Having a bit of trouble with my car and just wondering if the hp fuel pump is the only pump on the engine? Or is there one in the tank as well?? Any help appreciated, cheers

Re: Sluggish throttle response, rough idle and ecp light
It's the older 200hp 2.0 tsi engine. Before I set off to work tonight I revved it and it took a while to settle back down again so the issue was still there. I filled up with v power on the way and haven't had an issue since leaving the petrol station. I have also just cleaned the MAF, again after p...

Re: Sluggish throttle response, rough idle and ecp light
I've had coil pack and spark plug trouble before and it doesn't feel anything like that. Like you say I will have to check the codes, just thought someone might have an idea.

Sluggish throttle response, rough idle and ecp light
OK so about a month ago maybe a bit less I realised my car was acting a bit strange. The throttle response from idle or coasting along has become very sluggish, I am able to press the peddle a fair way before I get any response from the engine and then it will jerk and start to rev. If I have the ca...

Wing mirror indicators
Does anyone know if the wing mirror indicator is in anyway connected to the indicator in the sidelight? I have just replaced a side light bulb and when checking it was working I've noticed my wing mirror indicator on the same side is no longer working. I don't know if this will be connected or just ...

Re: Scirocco Advice Dreaded Catalytic Convertor
I had coil pack issues after I went revo and I definitely had misfires. It would misfire massively under WOT and later on became barely driveable! After replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs it was back to normal! I would say if you had a bad coil pack or spark plug you would definitely get a m...

Down pipe and cat question
Hi all, I've just bought a second hand down pipe and cat and intended to modify it so that I could bolt in a straight through pipe but also replace the cat when needs be. The downpipe I've bought is different from the one I have, the one on the car has a lambda on the turbo manifold and then another...

Which spark plugs and gaps
Hi all, I'm interested to know what spark plugs people are using in their 2.0 tsi rocs? I'm thinking of getting the oem bosch double platinum ones gapped at .028 but have read that ngk plugs are gapped at .032. I'm stage 1 revo if that makes any difference?
Thanks in advance, john

Re: Second hand sps switch
Looks like it would be worth it getting it changed to the 99 setting then! On another note it's needed 2 new coil packs since the remap. I've read this is fairly common? Think it might be time for r8 coil packs and some new plugs!

Re: Second hand sps switch
Well I got my revo stage 1 map today and obviously the smile hasn't left my face yet!! The guy who did it has mapped it to 97 as he said it's safer that way in case for whatever reason I can't get hold of any 99! I didn't go for the sps as the map worked out more than expected (I didn't account for ...

Re: Second hand sps switch
Cheers for the reply, at work at the minute and can't open that file on my phone but I assume the that I would find the correct files for my car and load them to the sps? Are they readily available? I have a 2.0 tsi if that helps! Thanks again, John

Second hand sps switch
Just wandering if I were to buy a second hand sps switch would I have to download the original map and then maps for different fuels myself? Don't quite know how I'd go about reprogramming it? Any help appreciated, thanks John

Re: sat nav
i really like the rns510 it has never gotten me los and ive driven allover the uk and through europe with it. Mine has a designated traffic button which tells you about traffic in the area and also will let you know if traffic is coming up on your route. it fits into the dash nicely and looks well i...

Re: sat nav
i honestly really like the stock rns510. it has never gotten me lost and ive driven all over the uk with it and also to belgium. it looks good in the dash and may not cost you that much. i think mine was about £500 but i sold my rcd for about £250 so wasnt too bad. pretty sure mine has traffic updat...

Re: Rns510 voice commands
The only reason I'm interested in getting it is to save time when inputting addresses into the navigation. I don't find the input interface all that great but like you that is my personal view. I will have a look tonight at coding. Thanks for your help, John

Re: Rns510 voice commands
I currently don't have any Bluetooth but I assumed pushing the voice commands button would at least do something anyway?! I have the button in the top right which is an i / speaker symbol. That's the right one isn't it?! Thanks, John

Rns510 voice commands
Hi all, A few weeks after buying my roc I bought an rns510 and installed it with no issues, it didn't even require coding to get the nav up on my red mfd. I'm planning on getting the 9w7 Bluetooth kit so was just looking at some videos on YouTube about how it integrated with the rns. Some of the vid...

Re: Scirocco GT - R-Line
I have a 2.0tsi gt, sat nav, heated leather, and the usual gt spec. The only reason I'd go for the R is if you want the sportier look, otherwise get the gt with a good spec (definitely xenons) get a good remap and you're good to go!
