Re: Drivers B Pillar Rattle

Thanks very much for that.... Will try more padding and if that doesn't do it I will mention it to the dealer when I go in for service as it's a new car under warranty! They can do all the hard work!

Drivers B Pillar Rattle

Anyone experiencing a rather irritating buzz/rattle from just behind their right ear. It isn't there all the time, just on certain road surfaces! It stops if I press firmly against the plastic trim box section covering the upper B pillar. Anyone give me advice on how to remove this trim section so I...

Re: Scirocco (59) 2.0 TSI 197 Engine tapping/pillar rattle??

Hi, bit late to this thread I know but yes, I have had a rattle from behind my right ear (in the B pillar trim) ever since my Roc was 2 weeks old. I have tried wedging bits of felt in behind the plastic box section pillar trim as this seems to be quite loose. This has improved things but the rattle,...

Re: Scirocco Facelift 2013 - your ideas please..

Surely there will be no facelift!! The MY2012 car has been substantially upgraded (bluetooth, satnav, leather on the GT etc) in leu of an actual physical facelift, which the car doesn't really need. I'm sure the all new car will be revealed sometime maybe in late 2014 for a 2015 launch. That's just ...

Because it's the off switch :-)[/quote]

 fell into that one, but xenons are not standard, so seems odd that the OFF switch doesn't turn the standard headlights off! not that it bothers me...

Re: Cool display

yeah, I suppose the only way to turn off my main beam then is to set the switch to sidelights! Strange that setting it to OFF still leaves it on AUTO (appart from switching off the internals)

Cool display

Just noticed a really cool feature which you probably all know about anyway (unless it's specific to new MY12 cars). If you switch the auto lights to the 0 position at night, all interior display illumination is turned off except for all four needles which remain illuminated in bright red (against a...

Re: Can you stop the passenger window dropping?

Can't for the life of me understand why the windows are programmed to drop when the doors are unlocked and when the ignition is turned off after a journey... Just doesn't make any sense! Surely they could make the operation identical to the 3 series coupe where the windows drop as soon as the door h...

Re: Can you stop the passenger window dropping?

Bit late to this thread I know, but picked up my new roc last week and set the key to unlock both doors! Went out to car at lunch time & unlocked with the plipper, both windows dropped slightly... no problem there, got in and shut my door, my window shuts instantly, no problem there... then sudd...

Re: Flat Tyre Indicator

Thanks for the info, very interesting to know those details. I have/would only ever reset following tyre changes or substantial pressure changes. My new Roc was supplied with one tyre at -4 psi which seemed odd, but on inspection it looks fine so a PDI error I suspect! I believe the system on the Ro...

Re: Flat Tyre Indicator

Thanks RW1, it is hidden away in the top of the glove compartment! Guess I just assumed it would be in a more convenient position, such as in the bank of switches in the centre with the ACC & DTC buttons! Thanks again!

Flat Tyre Indicator

Both VW website and the 2012MY brochure state that GT models have the flat tyre indicator as standard (brochure actually says all models have it) My new 2012MY GT has the yellow symbol in the display, visible momentarily when starting the engine, but there appears to be no reset button anywhere in t...

RNS315 iPod touch skip issue

I have MY2012 170 GTD with RNS315 system, using iPod touch the sound momentarily cuts just after the start of every track. I have read about this issue and updates available but surely the system in a 2012 model year car should have already had any necessary updates! Anybody else had the problem wit...

Re: RCD 510 and Ipod Touch

I use an iPod touch into RNS315 and the sound cuts for a split second just after the start of every track, not a huge issue but very annoying and I have no idea why it happens. Any ideas appreciated!

Re: Pirelli Seal Inside Puncture

Personally, if I got a screw or nail in a self sealing tyre I would leave it there and simply keep a close eye on the tyre from that point on! Even with non SS tyres, this problem usually only causes a slow puncture (In the past I have had to check the pressure and re-inflate every one to two weeks)...

Re: Has Anyone Actually Got Their MY2013 Car Yet?

Hey guys, just had look over my MY13 GT 170TD and it doesn't have alluminium look pedals. The website indeed says it should have but from reading other threads apparently VW have stated these were discontinued! They have obviously failed to update the UK website, I believe from looking at a MY13 pri...

Re: My French 2.0 TSI Night Blue

Hmmm, just ordered candy with truffle, was a bit worried as I've never seen that colour leather in the flesh (literally is flesh I guess!!) but these pics have put my mind at rest, looks so much more classy & luxurious than black leather! Maybe I'll even change my colour choice to Night Blue if ...
