Thoughts on my Scirocco R
Sorry if i was rambling hopefully you will get the gist of what i was trying to say
First impressions are just how good the R looks in the flesh photos of the R do not do it justice, it actually makes my old GT well look rather ordinary to be honest, this is possibly something to do with colour I must admit the Opal Silver wasn’t the greatest colour in the world and the R does look stunning in Candy, Moving on to the cabin there are quite a few subtle differences I’ve now got different seat coverings and some black dash and vent trim cool blue needles that make like a windscreen wipers when the ignition is turned on new clocks and MFD, it’s also a lot brighter in there due to the pano roof, fire it up and you your greeted to really deep exhaust note that just puts a massive smile on your face well more like a stupid grin but do I care no I don’t (OK maybe I need to get out more)
On the road the car feels firmer not massively firmer handling is better but I haven’t done enough miles to really comment, it’s when you open the taps you really notice the difference it pulls like a train and that noise is awesome I find myself squirting the throttle just to listen to it, Yes I could have remapped and added a Milltek to my GTand got similar performance and sound but it just wouldn’t be as special as the R, two and a bit years on the R was over 10K more than the GT was when new so is the R worth the extra ? FU** YEAH is it I love it. PS my GT was 2009 TSI 200ps

I don't think the exhaust note is that deep really, Had my Milltek taken off today and thought i was driving a hybrid car home TBH, soooo quiet.
Re: Thoughts on my Scirocco R
Yes I think SciroccoRocket needs a Milltek on his car.
and i know where there's a cheap one going.

In a word, NO, lol.... Something boring and non-descript that I'm sure I shall fall asleep at the wheel driving, I even chosen it in anthracite to suit the whole drab feel of it !
The HONDA garage I am buying my used VW from ( cos they are not shafting me quite as much as VW wanted to) are going to have to surgically remove my keys from my hand next week, it's going to break my heart to let go of what I can honestly say is the best car I have ever owned but I have no choice at this moment in my life...... Hey ho tho, I'll still be at inters drooling all over everyone elses cars like some demented woman.
And I'm going to make the most of my last few days of ownership of the R
