One off track day insurance?

Post by fun meter »

Do any companies offer this?

Thinking about taking my car on track, after recently doing another driving experience (hammering around supercars on the prodrive track). Handful of ARDS instructors recommended I should get into track days.

Cheers

if ur insured with Greenlight already they can cover u but exclude certain tracks like the Ring and Castle Combe. Think they can insure one offs too if you're not with them aswell.

Generally people think its not worth while due to the cost and the excess they apply.

Try specialist places like keith michaels / Herts Insurance / Adrian Flux also.

Cheers. I'll have a look. Also the issue of age though, as I know some of them wont insure me. Gonna sort out a day/evening at brands with some tuition.

how old are you?

Mrk on here is a qualified ARDS instructor. PM him to see if hes available for some "discounted" tuition.

If you drive sensibly on track and choose your events carefully, insurance shouldn't be necessary.

Good luck and have fun.

Im 19, I think greenlight/adrian are minimum 20. I've booked a novice day at brands indy circuit with club msv with a couple tuition sessions in September. Like you say shouldnt be necessary (novice day, limited numbers, some markers & cones). Cant wait though :yes:

For one off track insurance try http://www.moris.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

With anyone offering 'bolt on' track day cover with a normal road going policy check the terms and conditions very carefully, especially which tracks are included, excesses if you claim etc

Hope that helps
