Re: Superchips Stage 1 Map Figures
Question is does anyone have this map, i had the Bluefin on the ed30 and it was fine, i now have the chance to swop map for less than £200 to get R map, i want something removable so not so keen on the Revo etc options

^ Do we know who ?, would like to hear of personal experiences before buying

Re: Superchips Stage 1 Map Figures
the vwr modded one was done by superchips, i'm assuming if the flash counter resets on the engine given its previous incarnations, some aren't bothered but worth a call to check

Re: Superchips Stage 1 Map Figures
I guess your saying the bluefin now doesn't reset the flash counter ?

Re: Superchips Stage 1 Map Figures
it never has on the 2.0tsi scirocco GTs iirc

Re: Superchips Stage 1 Map Figures
yes Revo resets the flash counter & I don't see why it will be any different on the R

Re: Superchips Stage 1 Map Figures
I have had the Superchips remap on my R- as posted before. But mine hasn't been on a RR. As previously mentioned I am really, really pleased.
I have done some crude timed tests to check 'real world driving' and there is noticeable difference to in gear grunt.

Re: Superchips Stage 1 Map Figures
on the flash counter front, the new 2.0 tsi units don't in the GT spec cars don't reset the flash counter, given the engine in the R is based on Ed30/S3 et al i would assume it does with bluefin given the fact it has for 3+ years on similar engined models
SC10CO R comments would ring true imho, given the Golf R i abused was lacking in the torque department a little from waht i've been used to
its noticable the stock map has an agrressive power delivery lower down the rev range which i wouldn't knock (having compared it to my sensible hatch's figures)
