Hi,
I'm running up towards my 1 year period, and the sticker in my windscreen says 10,000 miles / 1 year for next service (due end of this month).
However in the dash, (which you press the buttons as in roccopedia) it says at 17,000 miles (I'm on 7000) or 04/04/2011.
Now the question is, can I simply just drive it until the two year/17k mark, or has VW got it registered that I need to take the car in (and thus invalidate my warranty if I don't)?
Will the car flash up with a reminder when I need a service done?
Service question - will the car tell you it needs a service?

service intervals can be set for long life or every 10k, yours is set for long life given its around the 17k mark when it says its due

Thanks, I'll just drive mine around for another year until it tells me I need a service! - Didn't really fancy having it serviced over easter anyway, since I'm busy over next few weeks!wigit wrote:service intervals can be set for long life or every 10k, yours is set for long life given its around the 17k mark when it says its due

Look in the Users Manual. In one of the books, near the front the dealer should have ticked the box for which service option you have.
I think I'd like to make sure. Wouldn't want to find that a major warranty claim is rejected because I've not followed the correct servicing regime.
