Calling all tdi 170 owners

Hi guys, just a quick one. I used to drive a pd160 ibiza, and it was, as ive already read, a lot loouder than the rocco will be, but i just wanted to know........ Is the turbo still audible within the roco?? in the ibiza it was very noticable, and you cuold hear it winding up. just wondering if with the new CR engine it sounds similar, as i didnt get to drive a 170 tdi rocco before ordering, just a 140.

I'd say it's not that audible, the sound insulation in the Rocco is very good IMO and isolates you from the engine noise unless you have the windows down. On the 170 diesel anyway.

But it is a very very fast car when the turbo kicks in

fair enough! only reason i ask is cause i'd rather be hearing the turbo that the diesel-y noise that you cant really avoid, the turbo on the ibiza defo masked it quite well, and was kinda hoping the rocco will be the same. guess i can only hope..... you likin the car then iAmbu?? i see you've got it now yeh?? i'm hoping its quite quick, cause im coming from an astra vxr, which is pretty quick itself. But i've ordered the TDi as i've just started a new job which is a 50 mile round trip from home, and the astra's killing me on the fuel! so hopefully i'l get a lil more than 25-30 mpg out of the TDi roco!!!! let me know your thoughts on the car though please dude!!! particularly the dynaudio & the leather, also please post some pics of both intertior and exterior if you dont mind please mate!!!!

Hi dude, just a quick post to say I have just got in from a long drive (big grin on my face!) but I will post some of my thoughts and opinions hopefully later tonight, I need some food now!

Will also try to get some pics up (interior and exterior) ASAP !!
