Recently i have retrofitted xenons to my 2010 scirocco, but it is not yet completed. I have 'shortwired' to the old harness, so basically I have only changed the connectors for headlights. Next step is obviously changing the BCM (the current one which i have is Midline version - 5K0 937 086 F) to a Highline one and adding the auto leveling feature, so I have few questions:
1. What exactly do I need in order to change the BCM? I know that I should copy my current codings and prescribe them to the new BCM. Also i will need to make a key adaptation via VCDS. But is there anything else?
2. Are You guys able to provide me exact codes of BCMs that will be compatible with my vehicle? Does the BCM need to be exactly from scirocco, or can I tak one from for example vw passat or skoda? Do only last digits - "087" matter?
