Hi all,
I have recently had these three lights come on my dash. The Steering Assist light, Traction control and the Tyre Pressure light. I have tried the manual reset of the steering calibration, Hell in centre then left for 5 seconds then right for 5 seconds then centre for 5 seconds and restart the ignition. The light goes red then but back to yellow.
The reset button for the tyre pressure makes the light flash but then just stays yellow. They all came on after I had to change a flat and put on my space saver tyre.
Does anyone have any advice or came across this issue before?
Thanks

Normally those lights come on when the battery is disconnected and the steering angle sensor needs to recalibrate, which is normally done by driving the car a short distance and then the lights go off. You don't normally have to go through the calibration procedure using VCDS.
The issue you have is more than likely related to the steering angle sensor, although I can't see how fitting the space saver would cause the issue.
I assume you've now fitted the original wheel?
It's not unknown for the difference in rolling circumference of the spaces aver to trigger the ESP and TPMS lights but not the steering one.
With regards to the puncture, it wasn't the result of hitting a pothole was it? This can knock the tracking out and cause a steering angle sensor error and those lights.
If you haven't done so, I would disconnect the battery for a short period, reconnect and drive the car a short distance to see if the lights go off, assuming you have now replaced the space saver.

Thanks for the reply, I have hit a few potholes in my time, the flat wasnt as a direct result of a pothole hit however.
But I will certainly try and disconnect the battery and do a drive and see if this fixes it.
If I do this do I need the code for the radio?

As long as the headunit is the one fitted at the factory, youbwill not need the code.neilmcmahon123 wrote:Thanks for the reply, I have hit a few potholes in my time, the flat wasnt as a direct result of a pothole hit however.
