Hi all
Been looking at a few quick posts on faulty alarms and or problems that cause them and wonder if anyone can shed a bit of light to start me off please.
So yesterday my alarm started going off by itself and first I thought with the wind we had it shook the car (although I've had the car for about 7 years and not had it go off before in high winds) so randomly it goes off every couple of hours now. I have located the sensor switch behind the seat belt and tried this but still goes off (this stats illuminated after I press the button. Also, I have tried to disable the alarm which I assume is a double click on the lock button after its locked but still have been going off in the night .
Is there anything I should be looking for any help would greatly be appreciated
I know the feeling. Are you using the car at the moment and keeping the battery charge topped up? A drop in voltage could trigger something or other perhaps?
Or is there something living inside your car? We've had a big moth trigger our car before now - not fun to evict!
Hopefully another forum member with much more technical knowledge than me can help you solve this.
If there is a fault it should show. Carista is £15 for the dongle and £10 for a weeks pass or £30/year with a free first month. You can cancel within your fist month so it’s free then use the £10 week pass if and when you need it.
