Changing buttons on steering wheel

As you can see from the first pic, the buttons on the is cracked and missing.

I’ve tried to install but can’t do it. If you look at the second pic, where I’ve drawn around, the r line steel, I can’t take it off, does anyone know if this is possible or what to do please?

My car is a r line scirocco, 2.0, 2015
