Gear selector upgrade / mod?

Hello
Recently bought a 2010 2.0 TSI.
Liking the car very much, but not impressed by the manual ’box’s selector: it seems notchy / slack / imprecise, which seemed to be a recurring criticism when car mags - eg, Autocar and Car - published their road tests.
So, does anyone know of an upgrade or mod to tighten up the gear-change, please?

Just Google "short shift kit" and a number of options will pop up.
