Mirror twitching.

Post by Zanic L3 »

Hello,

When I unlock my car the windows (driver and passenger) twitch up and down very slightly. Is it because of a going dead battery?

They twitch when the key is not in ignition and also when I'm stationary with the key in ignition after that it's gone.

They only twitch when the car is unlocked

Windows or mirror what is it? Windows twitching is normal because of the construction of the doors.

Uh I meant windows

So it's normal that they twitch very strangely up and down like they are having a spastic attack?

Windows drop slightly to below the rubber seal. If you don't open the door within a few seconds they go back up.

What's the reason they do this though?

Because the window will damage the seal when it doesn't drop.
Just take a look at your car from close distance.

If you look closely, you will see your car has frameless windows, which means before you open the door the window has to drop to disengage from the seal. Come winter time you'll find out what happens if the window doesn't drop. :)
