Hi,
Recently had the Engine Warning Light on, £75 cost from VW to diagnose then replacement air intake solenoid.
I bought a cheap engine code reader prior to booking into VW but it connected OK but returned no codes, hence the visit.
Can anyone recommend a cheap engine code reader that works with a 2010 2.0GTI Auto.
Since repair, engine warning light back on, KwikFit diagnosed top level as the dreaded P2015! They reset light and hasn't co,e back on yet.
Am hoping to buy an engine code reader.
Any advice people?

Re: Engine Code Reader
VCDS or Vagcom is the code reader of choice for this forum and it does loads more too. But it fails on your cheap bit. Maybe find someone local to you who has one and offer him beer to hook it up to your car? There's a forum index tag dedicated to VCDS under Mod Squad but something tells me that with your small post count that isn't accessible. If so get posting.
