I've just about got my car home after it started misfiring. I've got the following codes:
P0133 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank1, Sensor1)
P0304 - Cylinder 4 misfire
P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire
B2aaa
Spark plugs 2 and 3 are black, if i shine a light inside the chamber the piston looks black too. Plugs 1 / 4 are wet. I've swapped the coils around (didn't help) and swapped all of the plugs for another set of plugs. Once again 2 and 3 turned black after running the car on idle for about 20 seconds.
I have recently (about 5000 miles ago) changed the inlet manifold and cleaned the carbon off the valves. I also gave the tips of the injectors a clean.
What could be the potential causes? The misfire is constant.
I'm considering replacing the injectors, as it's two cylinders misfiring... I can't think of anything that would cause the 2 same cylinders to misfire regardless of changing coils / plugs.
I'm not an expert, so was wondering if anyone might know if there's anything else i could check before replacing injectors? as it's a fairly big job.

Not sure on your exact problem, but as i have recently had 3 failed injectors i can say that when the injectors fail, they fail wide open and just spray fuel constantly, in my case this was flooding the engine and wouldn't even allow it to run
It is also recommended to replace all injectors, i didn't, and one week after after getting 2 replace, a third went tits up, and had a rather expensive 2nd repair bill to replace the other 2
Do you not have any sort of AA cover, might be worth calling them out if you do see if they can diagnose the issue, and if you don't have cover, do you know anyone with cover as its anyone in the car that is covered

Cheers, yeah I've got a friend who has cover. How much did it cost for you to have the injectors replaced?rpsmith79 wrote:Not sure on your exact problem, but as i have recently had 3 failed injectors i can say that when the injectors fail, they fail wide open and just spray fuel constantly, in my case this was flooding the engine and wouldn't even allow it to run

Re: 2.0 tsi multiple cylinder misfire
Take a seat........ they are expensive
First time round, including diagnosing the issue, was £550, that was diagnosis, 2 injectors, 4 spark plugs and 2 coilpacks, second time round, 2 injectors and fuel filter just over £400
The injectors alone are around £150 each
