Damaged Wing Mirror

Post by Callum12 »

Evening guys!

My first post to the forum, and one I wish I wasn't writing!
I've been browsing the forum for roughly a year now before getting my Candy White 2.0 TSi in September.

Anyway, I woke up yesterday morning to find some b*****d had decided they didn't like the look of my wing mirror.

I've ordered a new unit from Euro Car Parts for £120 and am picking it up tomorrow.

But I'm just thinking, do VW supply the casting that is pictured below, on its own? Rather than buy a whole new unit?

Any help on this is appreciated

I will follow UKlees tutorial on replacing the wing mirror

Things such as this are really annoying; they can be fixed properly but are expensive to do. Check with your VW dealer; they will tell you. I smashed the cover (white on your car) but it cost £230 to repairing, including painting.
The only thing is if you have a nice car you don't want a bodged repair.
