Scirocco 2.0 TSI GT - Turns Off Randomly

Hi Guys,

Today on the way home while driving along the motorway my car randomly shut down.

The car came to gradual halt, the dials on the dashboard were all set nothing and the central display was completely off.

I took the key out of the ignition, waited a moment to think what it could be done and decided try start the car again.

It started first time, displaying no error messages or warnings and no time had it made any unusual sounds.

Unfortunately this happened another 2 times before making it home.

I would be greatly appreciate any help or guidance.

Could be a faulty ignition switch.
