light settings confusion

Post by AxG »

ok can anyone explain to me why my lights are on when they are set to '0' off positon?

When I put on auto everything stays the same then when switch to the sidelights only sidelights come on.

I do have one sidelight bulb out, but surely that cant be the reason they come on when set to '0' ?

A quick search would answer the question as it's the most common question on this forum.

On Sciroccos with halogen lights, the dipped beams are on the minute you switch on the ignition to act as DRLs. This makes the "off" and "auto" functions on the switch irrelevent.

I should add that the operation can be changed by changing settings using VCDS
