Passenger window fault

Post by Roccodancer »

Hi guys new to the forum as only just got a 2009 2.0tsi scirocco last week.

Great car and really enjoy it! One problem is my passenger window goes up half way then drops straight away like someone has put an arm in the way, replaced the motor/regulator for a used one that has fixed the problem but the motor still sounds like it's struggling to lift up.

I've greased all the runners etc and checked nothing in the rubber seals so does anyone have any ideas or have this happen to them?

Many thanks in advance

dunno if its directly related but this used to happen in my golf after i left the window down in the rain, left it open at the drivers door and all the windows started doing this so could be the switch ?

I bought it privately so i have no fall back i'm afraid, done the window reset few times and nothing worked, the cars 5-6 years old now i wonder if the battery could use a change as i know operating the windows uses alot of juice.
