Hello and help please - Catalytic Convertor light.

Post by rneilg »

Hi, I picked up a new Scirocco a few weeks back after hankering after one for a few years.
It is a 2.0 tdi blue motion with 22000 miles on the clock. Last night the engine light came on and the user manual says that it is a catalytic convertor failure. The light is not flashing so it says it is safe to drive.
It is still under warranty so I will take it in tomorrow. Any ideas what it could be (just to put my mind at rest)? The car drives without any faults.
Thanks for any help.
Neil.

It could be any number things so there is no point speculating.

Get it scanned with VCD band see what's triggering the light.
