In-car-cerated in my Roc

Post by fet »

In-car-cerated in my Roc' - at the local Aldi carpark.

Has anyone else had this little moment...... Stopped the car, turned the key to off, engine stopped, pulled the key out of the ignition. But both the doors stayed dead-locked, windows did not drop, but the radio and lights stayed on. Tried the door lock/unlock button with no effect.

I put the key back in the ignition, restarted the car, then turned it off again, this time the windows dropped and the doors then opened

Has anyone come across this before?

Its a MY2010 if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Nop, after taking the key out, the windows always drop.

Never had an issue.
2012 here.
Take it to your dealer. It might be a bug or something like that. Electronic problem for sure.

Yeh I've had a similar issue except I can get out of the car. It's got something to do with the positioning of the ignition switch when you take the key out. If it's not in the correct slot the car seems to think that the key is still in the ignition therefore the key doesn't work and the radio etc remains on

Sounds ad if you have a faulty ignituon switch. It's a known issue on the early cars.
