I've posted a few times about this. Recently has the car in and a new lump had to be put in as the old
One was beyond repair.

I forgot to ask the guys where this new engine had been taken from.. Obviously engine numbers are different now so i want that kind of info for the next owner. Any idea if u can search somewhere with the engine number to find out where and what car it was in? Also mine was a 170bhp version, I feel like this is slower, any ifeas?
They have assured me when the salvage company re open for nye they'll find out for me but if I can id like to know now.

P.s 600 miles in and cars running fine.. Slight vibration in steering wheel after 70-80 mph but they're gonna have a look at that tomorrow.

Not sure about tracing the engine.
but are you sure it was a 170 they put in and not a 140?
