I have this and have to admit, it's key that I would on any future car. I just think it's the most useful option to have, especially to avoid kerbing wheels.
Anyone know if other cards are equipped with this? What it would be called etc? e.g. on an A5? An Octavia? etc.

Not sure about BMW, ford etc
But any VAG car can have this feature, even if you don't spec it from factory with the use of a Polor FIS which adds this and many other perks!

Yes other brands have the function. I believe Mercedes and BMW had it before VAG. Not sure about the likes of Ford or Vauxhall though.

These Polar FIS things work with said Audi's?
So it's like a user friendly VCDS?

Re: Mirror down function for reverse
It's called "mirror dip on reverse" and I'm pretty sure ir's a standard feature with most Audis although on some models it may come with the optional electric folding mirrors.
