Scirroco bulb upgrade- what can I safely use??

Post by Spaldo99 »

Hi everyone,

I have recently decided to upgrade the standard halogen light bulbs in my 2009 scirrocco (2.0 tdi 140). Does anyone know what the max voltage you can safely use? The bulbs I have used are Phillips ultimate white light diamond vision (55w 12v 5000k). I'm just a little worried after reading an article recently about a guy who put similar bulbs in his a3 and they fried his wiring and melted the bulb holders!

Any advice would be much appreciated on what bulbs the scirroco a can safely handle!
I'm even thinking of going back to my candle stick halogens!

Hey

I recently upgraded the bulbs in mine, the ones i fitted are:

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

(I think, I will double check the packet later)

I also changed the side light bulbs to:

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but hope it helps if it is :)
