ACC button not working.

Post by J22YME »

Hi everyone!

I picked up my 2010 Scirocco 2.0 GT TDI yesterday and so far I love it!

Now this might be me being a novice with the car, but for some reason I can't get the ACC button to work so can't get it in sport or comfort mode!

Any suggestions?

Jamie.

When you say doesn't work what do you mean? Does it show on the MFD as changing, are there no lights on, is it flashing or can you not feel a difference?

If there is an error the button flashes so someone could have disconnected the switch to hide a fault or the cars had coilovers on it at one time and they have forgot.to reconnect rhe switch after putting the standard shocks back on.

Some of the early cars don't show on the MFD the switching between modes. Not sure which MY it was introduced.

Normal- nothing lit up
Comfort - comfort lights up on switch
Sport - sport lights up on.switch

There are both no lights showing on the MFD and no lights on on the button either!

I would say tne switch has been disconnected for one of the reasons I explained above.

That's great thank you! Where would I find to connect it again? Or even check if it has been disconnected?

You need to check the plug that plugs into the back of the switch. To gain access you need to lift up the gearshift surround and remove 2 screws to gain access to the switches.

If you bought the car.from a trader or dealer take it back to them and have them fix it.
