Removing lifeshine?

Post by 3t3p »

Just got my R second hand.

It came with lifeshine which I do not care about as I am into my detailing now and have all these products sitting at home...

So question is, will lifeshine even still be on a 2010 car? The paint does look slightly different to my previous viper green car, not better or worse, maybe like a synthetic sealant look but could be placebo effect.

Can it be removed by traditional means?

Or is it gone already...:)

Chance it could allready be gone. But either a good polishing the paint will remove it or if you plan on claying the car that will also remove it.

Lifeshine nothing special. A £20 kit that dealers apply in less than an hour and charge £300 plus for.

I remember being offered it on my prev from new, car.

But never opted (obviously) and never found out if it is a wax or a sealant or a longer lasting type of sealant.

I'll wash the car and see if beading is any different (dealer said it would be). Then i'll know.

Better order more clay:)
