Hi All
I have had my 2.0 Tsi GT for a couple of month now, and am very pleased with it.
We had a bit of good weather recently, so I decided to give it a wash.
When I was leathering off the roof, I could not believe that there were about 5 or 6 small dents over the roof panel !!
None have damaged the paint.
The only thing that I can think of that may have caused this is being parked under a conker tree a few weeks ago !!
I spoke to someone at work who used to work in a vw garage, and he told me that he thought that the roof panel is alloy and bonded on to the rest of the body.
As such it is quite soft, so it may be damaged by conkers from a large tree falling from a great height.
The bonnet has one small dent in it but it has more of a dome to it, so may be stronger and may be made of steel.
I may be talking rubbish, but it would be interesting to know whether anyone else has suffered the same.
Regards

Re: Dents in roof !!
I wonder if it could have been caused by hail stones?
