Just got my Rocco today, got a couple of questions

Post by Dale_moseley19 »

Just picked up my Rocco today, pleased with it but have a couple of questions if anyone can help.

Was told it had Bluetooth. Go into the menu and can select a Bluetooth audio option, but then when go into the media section the Bluetooth don't light up. Is there something I'm missing or did the salesman lie?

Also seems quite noisy through the drivers door/ window. Might be because the auto window bit, is there a setting for this or would this be normal?

Bluetooth is tje most discussed topic on this forum so have a search and ypu should find the answer.

Couple of things though,
1. If your car has BT there will be a module under the driver's seat as well as a phone menu in the MFD
2.The BT Audio is greyed out in the media menu until a phone is paired with it.
3. BT ID for car is VW Phone

BT is only standard on cars built after the back end of 2011. Prior to that it was a cost option.

I assume you are talking about wind noise. There is some wind noise from the wing mirror depending on speed but there should not be any from the window itself when shut. With the door closed the window should locate into the slot in the rubber seal above it and is designed to prevent wind noise. Worth checking the door seals are seating against the door when closed. Also worth wiping some silicon grease on the window seals when winter comes if the car is left outside as water can freeze the window closed and make it difficult to get in!!

In my experience Gummi Pfledge is spot on for lubricating the seals and prevent freezing.

Suggest you raise the window noise with the dealer as the winder motor controller might need replacing - I had the same issue (constant whistling in my right ear) and they sorted it by that method.
