Creaking Sunroof

Post by Eludethedude »

Hi Guys,

Since buying my Scirocco (used) I have noticed that the panoramic sunroof creaks, the sort of creak you may hear driving a plastic french car.
I wouldn't usually mind as i generally play music, but on a nice sunny day with music off you cant help but notice it.

If I apply pressure on the passenger side of the sunroof surroundings it appears to stop the noise, Any idea's? I's this an easy fix? Are there any Diagrams?

Thanks

I have the exactly same problem. On the front corner. I have narrowed it down to two plastic panels rubbing against each other. Mine eventually disappeared, but i suspect a very small amount of super glue between the two panels would stop it. That would have been my solution if it hadn´t gone away!

Back in the good old days WD 40 used to be good for sunroof leaks and squeaks, so worth a try. :vibes:

Id use Silicon spray rather than WD40 - that should do the trick.
