Would a downpipe from a 2.0tsi fit and work on a 1.4tsi?

If you mean the front section of the downpipe not without an adapter section. The 2.0 TSI is fixed with M10x28 bolts and the 1.4 TSI M8x28 bolts the bolt spacing and pattern is different.
