Guys has anyone been to San Diego California?

Boss has just paid for me to have a two week break there for a rest? I'm flying solo and looking to find out more about the place?

I so envy you right now :D but I have my Scirocco so that makes up for it.

I was further up north in Sacramento for 5 months a few years back - drove down to LA - didn't go as far as San Diego though but heard its really nice.

Weather should be perfect right now - not killing temp's but still very very warm - if you hire a car you can drive up to LA in a couple of hours - you will have access to some really nice beaches

If you want to go sight seeing driving north for around 8 hours or catching a 1hr flight from LAX to Sac will allow you to see Yosemite National Park, San Francisco - Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, 6 Flags theme park etc

In L.A you'll obviously see Hollywood and Universal Studios etc

2 weeks won't be enough though as it takes a while to get to places esp during rush hours. I used to head to San Fran a lot - about a 2hrs drive from Sacramento, one day coming back took me 7hrs!!!! Not really sure what the traffic will be like in San Diego but if you go to L.A you'll deffo see it!

Or you could always drive down to Mexico!

You lucky thing!!

I've been to San Diego. Lovely place, would recommend taking the tour of the aircraft carrier which was moored in the harbour, really interesting!

Would also recommend getting up to San Francisco, it's the one city that I said "wow, I want to come back here" when I visited.

Enjoy!!
