Luxury mats in the washing machine?
Considering buying a set of rubber mats for winter, but then had a thought - can I just put the luxury mats in the washing machine a couple of times over winter when they get dirty instead? Anyone done this?

Re: Luxury mats in the washing machine?
dont think that would do your washing machine much good or even your mats.
I`ve used a power washer to great effect?
I`ve always changed to rubber mats for winter as the first winter in which I had the car I nearly destroyed the carpet mats with all the salt etc,

I have changed to rubber mats all year round, their generous lip keeps all the tracked dirt and stones in one place for easy removal and they don't wear a hole so quickly in the area where your heel pivots on the floor when you're working the pedals (for this reason, why doesn't VW allow you to buy 1 replacement mat rather than a whole other pair???).
