VW extended warranty

Post by kenny.c »

Hi

After looking around for cover from other sources which came out at £350-400, VW came through with full cover for £260 for 12 months... which I didnt think was bad. Thought it would make the car easier to sell next year if we find anything insteresting to replace the Roc.....

Did VW send you info through the post or did they need a telephone call? Mines coming up 3 and I've had no info with regard to extending the warranty.

Mine's up in Feb and my local dealership suggested I call VW Customer Care to discuss it because I didn't buy the car new => VW won't chase me on the subject.

Why take extended VW warranty on a car you've modified, can't see the logic

VW will only contact you if you have opted in for communication. You can just call up the number on the warranty page of the VW website and they will give you a login for an online quote

Our VW dealer couldnt give a dam about the mods.....we have had loads of work done......the service manager even told me it makes no differance to them as they claim the hours and parts against VW uk no questions asked.....and at the end of the day its bookable work for the workshop.

And no they didnt contact us.....we called them on 0845 6419768 option 1 for sales.....

I second that... Cheers gents.

Mines approaching 3 years old from new in Nov. Seriously considering the 1 year extended warranty from vdub. Should help attract buyers if I sell early next year.
