TT to Rocco

Post by posty555 »

Hi there

Very new here.

Im cominng from a 57 plate TT 2.0T S-tronic which i sold two years back when i moved abroad. Only mods I had was it remapped by DMS automotives and it had a pipercross panel filter. i loved when you hear the silent burp, whoosh, pop sound..it Just use to burp silently up through the gears on normal driving, and coming hard out from a corner on stand still all heads would turn at the popping, while the car tries to get the power down. It was pretty much perfect. :p

p.s im not in to that whole Subaru/ evo etc dump valve loud noise.

Im now back and looking at an april 09 rocco 2.0t dsg basically same engine different shell. However this time im thinking of remapping with AMD essex. Ive read different things interms of DV etc replace with a VW rev D...Could someone please help or advise on this?

Im basically hoping i get the same effect i got from the TT, just a different tuner. Will this be the case or make a difference?

Be gentle..thanks in advance.

tsi unit is different animal to the tsfi in the TT, the tsi uses a IHI turbo rather than the K03 and is chain driven

from memory having split the rev G DV on mine 08 roc i think the rev D only came standard after around may 2009 time so probably worth changing

What is gained by changing the DV? (dump valve?)

Do You mean to say that the revision G came in 2008 roc, and was changed to revision D from around may 2009??? :?
