Thrilled with the car but not with the waiting time . So , about a month ago rang VW customer services to complain. I explained that it wasn't just the frustration of having to wait for my new motor but the money my current car had lost. I was selling privately because the dealers part x was a joke. Anyway ,they politely told me very sorry nothing they could do take it up with the dealer. Why said I - not the dealers fault VW can't make cars quick enough. More apology's but nothing could be done.
Not happy with that so put pen to paper and wrote a very long firm letter explaining my plight. It took a month for a reply,actually arrived the day I picked up the car! More apologising but said after I have collected my car to ring up and a goodwill gesture might be forthcoming.I reckon they thought once I had the car I'd forget all about it - No chance!
On Monday I rang the number ,asked for the person on the letter - sorry not available she'll ring you back .Finally spoke to her this morning and I'm getting a voucher for £500 of servicing or accessories!
Better than I'd hoped ,thought I might get a key ring if I was lucky! But this has made my day.I'd still rather have had the car last November but just go's to show a bit of persistance can pay of in the end!
