What's It Worth

Post by Strat »

Hi All

Putting feelers out to see how much my R is worth.

Main highlights are:

Registered March 2011, one owner (me) cared for like a baby :)
Candy White
8,000 miles
Manual
18" wheels
Nav with Dynaudio
Cruise control
Electric folding mirrors
Smoking pack
Bluetooth
Rear parking sensors

Mods:

Full APR exhaust system
19" BBS CH alloys (black) with Michelin Super Sport tyres
Forge short shift gear change
Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers
EVOMS intake
Black roof vinyl
Black Cup spoiler
Full nappa leather retrim (red)
Front Recaro Sporster CS seats with side airbags and carbon fibre backs

That's about it. I have kept the original exhaust, wheels, seats, suspension and spoiler plus i have enough spare leather to retrim 1 seat. Never been remapped.

Not sure yet if its worth returning to standard and selling the parts seperately or selling as a whole 'package', guess it depends on the price. What sort of price could i get for this with and without the mods? Based on a quick search of Autotrader/Compucars my initial thoughts were £28k?

Few pics below to refresh visuals:

Surely someone has a rough idea?

Already sold the exhaust, coilovers and intake.

So when it put it up for sale, it will only have the black cup spoiler, roof wrap and the interior. so pretty much OEM.

No idea on cost, but that is a truly beautiful R - wish mine wasnt a company/leased car so I could do some mods.

See what a dealer will offer as a part exchange on a new R and then add £2k as a private sale guide. However there are not many private motorists about with the cash to buy expensive cars privately; there are Scirocco Rs at dealers available for less than £25k.

Another point is that although the mods look great, they may frighten private buyers off due to the insurance loading they may attract.

I'll have a look around thanks. I'll start higher and prob drop it down accordingly.

The mods will all be removed except the cup spoiler and the wrapped roof. Basically a standard car.
