HI there
After nearly 3 years with the Roc we just cannot find anything to replace it....plus there are still very few Rocs around were we live......SO.........all you guys who have changed / modded your Roc's what would you say was the best money you have spent on your car...?
So far we have.....
Lowered on H&R springs
Colour coded side strips and VW badges
Some 19s for summer use
Looking at a remap and downpipe v soon....still undecided what map
Maybe some LED rear lights....the most OEM looking ones....but unsure about the fit around the boot line
Any ideas to keep our Roc "fresh" would be great...
Thanx
Ken

Re: Best money you spent...
Intresting you should say "full geometry set up"...when we had the springs fitted we did get the geometry checked but I wasnt 100% sure they knew what they were doing as nothing hardly needed adjusting.....
Did you use the standard figures........and was it just a "normal " high street place you used..??
Thanx

- Toning on the front side windows
- Red/smoke LED tail lights?
- ECU remap (haven't done this, but others seem very happy)
- Full R-bodykit
- R-shifter!

VWR coilovers, arbs and engine mounts with the porsche callipers, these put the car in a different league to the standard car in terms of handling and grip and enabled me to exploit the remap potential without the feeling the car was compromised

Wigit, what would you reccomend for handling/grip? i mean im happy with my rocco at the moment but round corners its not the best, not bad but not good enough for just zipping it round a bend if you get my drift ?

Here's a link to my build thread with a full write up of the geometry session and what i had done, where, etckenny.c wrote:Intresting you should say "full geometry set up"...when we had the springs fitted we did get the geometry checked but I wasnt 100% sure they knew what they were doing as nothing hardly needed adjusting.....

I'll be going for arbs and mounts next i think and having the geometry set up more aggressively - this time I had it set up to me more neutral than the factory set up.
I can't recommend Chris at C of G enough.
