Scirocco Alloys
On the Verge of buying my first scirocco listed here:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Now it seems like a good deal, but I hate the alloys.
Can anyone tell me what alloys these are as I dont think they are Scirocco alloys are they?
PS: Anyway to get my insurance down only 22, 0 years NCB and have had a claim before christmas where my golf got stolen and smashed, but returned.
£1,200 I found it for so far.

Re: Scirocco Alloys
Hi jjeeeny
They are likely Spa alloys which are not usually seen on UK rocs but are on the continent, they were put on some cars around the production of that one due to the lack of availability of the interlagos alloys and the vast quantity of orders that needed satisfying in the UK market at the time
Re insurance try adding a parent or 2 who has a good driving history

Cheers for that. Will have to see if they will swap them.

Re: Scirocco Alloys
I very much doubt they will swap the alloys. Also bear in mind potential insurance implications if you are going to wrap it

Re: Scirocco Alloys
If your arent happy with the wheels and colour, maybe this isnt the car for you? I was offered a Candy White when I was looking at ordering mine. It was sat in the showroom, but wasnt the colour I wanted and didnt have the extras that I wanted either, but could of had it straight away.
After debating it with myself for less than 1 minute, i decided to wait 6 months for the exact spec car I wanted to be built. At the end of the day, if you are not happy with things, they will always niggle away at the back of your mind. Its worth thinking about.

I can rely on my car, it's my Roc!!!

Re: Scirocco Alloys
I dont like any colours on cars to be honest, think their boring and any car I brought was going to get wrapped.
Wheels I can deal with, waiting longer will mean my car will keep dropping in value and I doubt I will get as good a price as that one + good value on my car.

Re: Scirocco Alloys
Any reason why you went for that one in particular?

Re: Scirocco Alloys
Wrapping is a declarable insurance modification end of. Let's say you have a bump insurers get the car for repair the paperwork says silver but the car that turns up is green... Cue a call voiding your policy or asking for more money.
