20k Service by the book or the display

Hi guys

The display on my car is saying service in 1k miles, however its more like 1500 miles until 20k miles. Which should I believe, does the one on the car change according to how its been driven?

The service indicator is based on 15,000 kms which is 9320 mile hence why it comes on at around 600 miles before the 10k miles is up.

To be perfectly honest it doesn't really matter which one you use to get your car serviced. 600 miles either way won't make any difference
