Scirocco R Replacement

Evening all,

I've been browsing these forums for a year now reading up and checking on all the fun you guys are having, thought It was about time I posted and wonder if anyone can give me some information?

I was the proud recipient of a Candy White R on March 1st 2011 after waiting 7 months for it(ouch) fully kitted out with all the extras and enjoyed driving it immensely for about 5 months until some sods broke into my home in August and stole a bunch of my gear and sadly my keys. It was then discovered less than a mile away as a smouldering pile of metal (I don't have any pictures because I daren't look at them!)

Now as bad as that might seem I've come to terms with it and thank god I took out GAP Insurance. It actually came down to because the car was less than a year old my insurance company would replace it, great! Now it's been just over 3 months and I've just been given a CONFIRMED build date of Week 48. Does anyone have a rough idea on how long they take to get to the UK from build week as I'd love to have a rough idea when to expect it. As it's going through my insurance it should be delivered to my door and not a dealer so I'm allowing about a week for them to cock-about once they receive it.

My purple T reg 1.3L fiesta hasn't quite got the same bite too it!

so sorry to hear about your R Dave, some people have no respect for other peoples belongings or consideration of how people work hard for them, they deserve hanging up by certain parts of their anatomy and seeing how they like it
cars usually take about 3-4 weeks after the build week to get to the UK as a rough guide but if you ask RW1 very nicely here he might be able to see what boat it can be expected on
